2 Peter 3:5—6
The World That Then Was (Summary)
What do these two verses in the KJV mean to us?
2 Peter 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
Genesis is the first book of the Bible for its relation to the other books of the Pentateuch; Genesis , Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, as well as to the Hebrew Canon of the O.T.. It is ascribed to Moses; see Mark 10:2—8. Genesis is no part of the Hebrew Title, which is simply Berēshīth, which means “in the beginning”, because it is the book of all beginnings. Genesis is Greek which is generation, Creation, for its being complimentary to the Apocalypse, Revelation.
Revelation 22:13 (KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Here is the beginning (Berēshīth) of the search for the TRUTH. It points in the right direction for your studies, beginning; surprisingly, from the New Testament. It seems so very easy to assume that the majority of Christian people never fully understand, or even try to reveal the revelation of these two verses in the KJV. It opens up quite splendidly the whole of the Creation, and the reason it was decidedly brought to an end by God.
As the above verse (five) suggests “the heavens were of old” and life in abundance prospered. It was so peaceful and blessed; we find it difficult to even remember because it was so long ago. It was a Creation in eternity passed, to which all Fossils and “Remains” belong, so here we have no argument with the age of the Earth by scientists, nor fossil remains of dinosaurs and other unrecognisable remains—it becomes only a mystery if we choose not to discover the TRUTH that has been there for all this time. It takes work of course—quite a lot of work—but only if you want the answers.
To not work at finding the answers we become like most that are ignorant of our history as human beings—the history of where we come from—and where we are going, it is essential to those who are looking for these sort of answers. It is not surprising that everyone is looking for these answers though—or who do not have the eyes to see or the ears to hear, which will be made evident very shortly as we progress through this study and onto other subjects.
We know through our studies of the KJV Bible that Noah’s flood took place because of wickedness, but here the recording in God’s Word is simple in the opening two verses of 2 Peter to explain the Creation; why it happened, and why there is so much confusion and conjecture which surrounds this fascinating topic (Who is the author of confusion).
The first occurrence connects it with creation, and denotes, by usage, the Creature in relation to His creatures, https://levendwater.org/companion/append4.html. The Hebrew Athnach places the emphasis, and gives pause, on “God” as being Himself the great worker, separating the Worker from His work. Even the Greek Cosmos means ornament. The Heavens and the Earth with the Hebrew particle ’eth before each, emphasises the Article “the”, and thus distinguishes both from 2:1. “Heavens” in Hebrew which is always in plural; the Heavens and the earth are always plural and with Hebrew particle ’eth, except Genesis 2:1.
There are a number of points in the O.T. KJV Companion Bible which indicate (was equals become), and is also rendered came to pass—also rendered be (in the sense of become) and where the verb “to be” is not in italic type. Hence Kept which is became keeper; quit, which equals become men, &c. Without form equals waste Hebrew tohū vā bohū. In other words it was not created tohū;
Isaiah 45:18 KJV For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.
but became tohū.
Genesis 1:2 (B) (and 2 Peter 3:5—6 above) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
“An enemy hath done this” Matthew 13: 25, 28, 39, http://www.godsplan.org.uk/parables.htm Wheat and Tares. See Matthew 13:36 for explanation by Jesus.
1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
In like manner man became a ruin. (Genesis 3, Ps 14:1—3, Ecclesiastes 7:20, and Romans 7:18)
Genesis 1:2 (Part 1) And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
It is now that we endeavour to permeate the information available, to enable us to piece together why the first World was destroyed in this manner. Satan is the enemy, but he was not always so, and it is important that reveal this aspect of him here.
The “Pseudepigrapha” is a collection of historical Biblical works that are considered fiction. Because of that stigma, this book was not included in the compilation of the Holy Bible. This book is a written history of what happened in the days of Adam and Eve after they were expelled from the Garden of Eden. Although considered to be Pseudepigraphic by some, it carries significant meaning and insights of that time. It is doubtful that these writings could have survived all these many centuries if there were no substance to them.
This book is simply a version of an account handed down by word of mouth, from generation to generation, linking the time that the first human life was created to the time when somebody finally decided to write it down. This particular version is the work of unknown Egyptians. The lack of historical allusion makes it difficult to date the writing precisely, however, using other pseudepigraphical works as a reference, it was probably written a few hundred years before the birth of Christ. Parts of this version are found in the Jewish Talmud, and the Islamic Koran, showing what a vital role it played in the original literature of human wisdom. The Egyptian author wrote in Arabic, but later translations were found written in Ethiopic. The present English translation was translated by in the late 1800’s by Dr,S,C Malan and Dr E. Trumpp. They translated into King James English from both the Arabic version and the Ethiopic version which was then published in The Forgotten Books of Eden in 1927 by the World Publishing Company.
Job 8:8—9 KJV
8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow :)
Here we have the most poignant verses in the Old Testament, Job mentions the “former age,” while Peter in the New Testament mentions “The World That Then Was.” Between 2 Peter 3:5—6 and Job’s 8: 8—9 we have the Creation and the beginning of history of this Fallen Earth. As well as the God chosen Hebrews who continually battle against the powers of darkness, sometimes winning, but more often than not; losing. It is a continual struggle just as Satan tempted Christ, so we follow Christ’s example by emanating His first Advent here on earth. However;
1. We must first understand (2 Peter 3:5—6) to comprehend why Christ had to be born incarnate.
2. Searching for our fathers (Job 8:8—9) to discover who we are, where we came from, and where we are going.
We are but a shadow and know nothing of the things that are the TRUTH, because we are on this earth a very short time, discovering the material values which have been put in place, and not the Spiritual things which have existed for a very long time, so here they are.
Revelation 12:7-9 (KJV)
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
He and his demons are here on earth deceiving Adam and Eve, and all their descendants right now It is marriage that is under attack by him and his perverts regardless whether you believe it or not; but not only this, but the four pillars of society as well, which are: Politics, Education, Economics, and Religion http://www.godsplan.org.uk/Fourpillarsofsociety.htm. So the question now remains;
· Why is Satan so hostile towards Jehovah, Adam and Eve and his descendants lineage in particular? http://www.godsplan.org.uk/books.htm.
Chapter LV –The Conflict between Jehovah and Satan.
Verse 15 “And he has continued O Adam, to make war against you, until he tricked you and made you come out of the Garden of Eden, to this strange land where all these trials have come to you. And death, which God brought to him, he has also brought to you, O Adam, because you obeyed him, and trespassed against God.”
’Elohim = God the Son, The living “Word” with creature form to Create, and later, with human form to redeem (John 1:14) 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. “Begotten of His Father before all worlds; born of His mother in the world.” In this Creature form He appeared to the Patriarchs, a form not temporarily assumed. ’Elohim is indicated (as in A.V.)by ordinary small type (or lower case), “God”.
Colossians 1:15-17 (KJV)
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17 And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
God the Father, who created the heaven and the earth using His only Son ’Elohim. Elyon spoke and ’Elohim put the spoken Word in place, thus the earth was created. The “world that then was” stood for some time, however long that was has not been stated, but is irrelevant to what took place next.
God, who created Satan, found iniquity in him.
Isaiah 14:10-32 (KJV)
10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, “Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?’
11 ‘Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.’
12 ‘How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!’
13 ‘For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:’
14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.’
15 ‘Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.’
16 ‘They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;’
17 ‘That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?’
18 ‘All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, everyone in his own house.’
19 ‘But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.’
20 ‘Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.’
21 ‘Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.’
22 ‘For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.’
23 ‘I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.’
24 ‘The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:’
25 ‘That I will break the Assyrian in My land, and upon My mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.’
26 ‘This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.’
27 ‘For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?’
28 ‘In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.’
29 ‘Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.’
30 ‘And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.’
31 ‘Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.’
32 ‘What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.’”
Ezekiel 28:14-19 (KJV)
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground; I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
When this took place we are not told. It was before Genesis 3:1 and the only time seems to have been between Vv 1&2 of Genesis 1, and may have been the cause of the overthrow, i.e. the Katabolē Kosmou. Another attack by Satan, the enemy; occurred in the parables of Christ; The Wheat and Tares; Matthew 13: 24—30 http://www.godsplan.org.uk/parables.htm. It is a very misunderstood parable if you are not a farmer or gardener, but points out Stan’s attack on God’s seed throughout the Holy Bible KJV. When we read “The Earth which is now” later, you will see how everything
Genesis 2:7 KJV And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
’eth Ha-’ādhām whose bloodline Jesus would be born to Mariam and Joseph of the house of Jesse, which is David’s bloodline.
Isaiah 64:8 KJV But now, O Lord, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter, and we all our the work of Thy hand.
Genesis 2:8 KJV And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man who He had formed.
This garden may be additional to Gen 1:11—12. 2:4—5. That creation concerns the “Plants of the field” (1st Occasion). This may have been a special planting, and lost when the garden and Eden were lost. Take note of the three gardens:
1. Eden, death in sin.
2. Gethsemane, death for sin.
3. Sepulchre, death to sin.
Eden in the cuneiform texts is the plains of Babylonia, known in the Accado-Sumerian as Edin, which is the “fertile plain,” so called by its inhabitants in Edinu. In Hebrew ‘ēden, and Septuagint paradise. Occurs in Genesis 2: 8, 10,15, 3:23, 24; 4:16. Isaiah 51:3. Ezeliel28:13; 31:9, 36:35, Joel 2:3.
It is quite clear from all these Biblical references that the garden existed regardless of the puerile beliefs by many, including Pope Francis, who denounces these Biblical facts as mere myths. They fail to understand, and therefore have neither “ears to hear, nor eyes to see.” These so called myths originated during the translation from Hebrew to the Hellenistic Septuagint, often called LXX because of the number of translators and students participating. The Greeks are fond of stories, even quoting Biblical happenings as myths http://www.godsplan.org.uk/jewishworld.htm. Anyway back to Genesis.
Genesis 2:18 (KJV) And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.
Help Meet means a (female) counterpart, though the modern feministic fad today is freedom, liberation, and equal pay, and would refute this vehemently; wanting the same status as the male (another Satanic attack), which is championed by female protagonists. Although this is not what they were initially created for. Satan has created another myth and lie, which has been passed on to other female unbelievers, or tares. A whole book could quite easily be written on this one erroneous subject, but alas, I am half afraid to say, will only cause more outbursts from indignant feminists who do not have a clue as to what the difference is between marriage, and cohabiting. Satan saw a way through Eve, to dishonour Adam and the entire lineage.
1 Timothy 2:14 (KJV) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
For a marriage between male and female to succeed, responsibility is fully upon the male to provide for his wife and children, come what may. In producing the necessary funds, and accommodation, for the wife to cope with being the help meet. All responsibility must be upon the shoulders of the male to care for, protect, and love his family. Only then will the marriage be a success with everyone concerned knowing their place in society.
Genesis 2:23 KJV And Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.
Genesis 2:24—25 KJV
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
It was right here all human troubles began when Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 3:1 (KJV) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”
Opposition to God’s Word is Satan’s sphere of activity. This is Satan’s first utterance in Scripture.
Genesis 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden.”
Misquoted from Genesis 2:16by not repeating the emphatic Figure Polyptoton and thus omitting the emphasis “freely.”
Genesis 2:16 (KJV) And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Genesis 3:3 But of every fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, “Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
This sentence is added by Eve. Cp Gen 2:16—17.
Genesis 3:4-5 (KJV)
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, “Ye shall not surely die:”
5 “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
This is Satan’s second utterance. Contradiction of God’s Word in Gen 2:17. This has become the foundation of Spiritism and Traditional belief as to death. Obedience proving what was good (Deuteronomy 6:24) Disobedience revealing what was evil (Romans 3:20). Be as God, Hebrew Elohim. This is the foundation of Satan’s second lie. “The immanence of God in man.” (Immanence refers to those philosophical and metaphysical theories of Divine presence in which the Divine encompasses or is manifested in the material world).
Genesis 3:6 (KJV) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is the world.
Superfecundation is the fertilisation of two or more ova from the same cycle by sperm from separate acts of sexual intercourse. The term Superfecundation is derived from fecund, meaning the ability to produce offspring. Superfecundation most commonly happens within hours or days of the first instance of fertilisation with ova released during the same cycle. The time window when eggs are able are able to be fertilised is small. Sperm cells can live inside a female’s body for four to five days. Once ovulation occurs, the egg remains viable for 12—48 hours before it begins to disintegrate. Thus, the fertile period can span five to seven days.
Genesis 3:7 (KJV) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
They knew before, but their knowledge now received a new meaning. Adam becomes “naked” by losing something of Elohim’s glorious likeness.
Romans 8:3 (KJV) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
The man-made covering of leaves sewn together, contrasted in the structure, with the God made clothing of (flesh).
Genesis 3:11-14 (KJV)
11 And He said, “Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?”
12 And the man said, “The woman whom Thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.”
13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, “What is this that thou hast done?” And the woman said, “The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”
14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, “Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:”
Genesis 3:15 (KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel. http://www.godsplan.org.uk/pureHeavenlytruth.htm.
Genesis 3:16-19 (KJV)
16 Unto the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”
17 And unto Adam He said, “Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;”
18 ‘Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;’
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.’” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/Orion.htm.
The images with the links are to show that the coming one is no mere animal, but a man: a mighty, triumphant, glorious prince. He is so pictured in the ancient Denderah Zodiac, where we see a man coming forth pointing to the three bright stars, Rigel; Bellatrix; Betelgeuse; in Orion’s belt as His. His name is given as Ha-ga-t, which means this is He Who triumphs. The Hieroglyphic characters below read Oar. Orion was anciently spelt Oarion, from the Hebrew root, which means light. So that Orion means coming forth as light. The ancient Akkadian was Ur-ana, the light of heaven. Orion is the most brilliant of all the constellations, and when he comes to the meridian he is accompanied by several adjacent constellations of great splendour. There is then above the horizon the most glorious view of the celestial bodies that the starry filament affords; and his magnificent is visible to the entire habitable world, because the equinoctial line (or solstitial culture)passes nearly through the middle of Orion http://www.godsplan.org.uk/jehovah%27sword.htm.
http://www.godsplan.org.uk/books.htm This link is the first indication that Satan; who was so called by God, was on the earth with Adam and Eve. So the proof is here for us all to see (that want to see, and understand) that Satan is here on earth for the time being as the prince of the air. God uses him to test us all until the 5500 years are up.
Christ first, Christ last, Christ all in all—that is the Christian attitude. Yet Jesus did not come into the world as an isolated and wholly independent phenomenon. There is much in His outlook and teaching which has to be understood in the light of His direct antecedents (a preceding circumstance).
It was not for nothing He was born a Jew, and His followers have rightly accepted the Jewish Scriptures as an integral portion of their own Bible 2 Peter 35—6 N.T.—Genesis O.T.—Revelation N.T. While men love to see in Him the fulfillment of all TRUTH wherever found and however uttered, He is in a special sense the climax of Hebrew Religion. Behind Him lies a long history http://www.godsplan.org.uk/thesufferingsandglory.htm the Spiritual experience of His own people, and we cannot be too thankful that this experience has found an enduring literary expression in our Bible.
John 15:16 (KJV) Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.
Without the Old Testament Jesus would be unintelligible, for there we have an “introduction” which explains much that He never explained, because He could take it for granted.
It is, then, only as the record of Spiritual experience that we can rightly study the Old Testament. It is not the soul history of an individual, though it contains many such histories, and the world could have ill dispensed with the record of inner life of a Hosea, a Jeremiah, or a Job http://www.godsplan.org.uk/earthlytabernacle.htm.
These are the items or stages in the larger whole, which is the narrative of Adam and Eve’s offspring, and a way in which their unique religion prepared the way for one yet greater. Just as the O.T. as a whole is the “introduction” to Jesus, so the book of Genesis is the “introduction” to the Old Testament. The Book falls into three divisions;
1. The first begins with the “World that then was” and explains the narrative of the “former world” from the little we know about it.
2. The second continues with “The World which is now” This one explains the narrative of the fallen earth after the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.
3. The third ends with “The World to come” and tells the narrative of Jehovah’s future Kingdom.
There are traditions which have clearly come down to us from ages far older than Israel, snatches of song relating to peoples of whom all other traces have been lost, race memories enshrined in language that could not die. It is impossible to read this narrative without being struck by its dignity and lofty tone.
Psalm 83:18 (KJV) That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.
He is “over all the earth”. Elyon is the dispenser of God’s blessings in the earth; the blessings proceeding from a Priest Who is a King upon His throne.
God the Father, who created the heaven and the earth using His only Son ’ĕlōhȋm. Elyon spoke and ’ĕlōhȋm put the spoken Word in place, thus the first earth was created. Because Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent they were given bodies of flesh by Jehovah expelled from the “Garden of Eden” and placed on today’s material earth we are now, and where we are to make a decision “The Spiritual Garden of Jehovah” http://www.godsplan.org.uk/spiritualmaterial.htm or This material slow death of Satan. 6000 years have been awarded to all to decide which they want before the time of the “Great White Throne Judgement,” which terminates very soon. Christ was born incarnate to reveal to His People the way back to “The Tree of Life,” and how to live our lives correctly while we are here. The whole of the New Testament testifies of His TRUTHS.
Isaiah 45:18 (KJV) For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.
Hebrews 6:1 (KJV) Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Where, instead of “not laying again”, the rendering should be “not casting down.” That is to say, the foundation already laid, of repentance, &c, was not to be cast down or overthrown, but was to be left—and progress made unto the perfection. Accordingly, the noun Katabole, derived from, and cognate with the Verb, ought to be translated “disruption,” or “ruin.”
The remarkable thing is that in all occurrences (except Hebrew 11:11) the word is connected with the world (Greek Kosmos,) and therefore the expression should be rendered “the disruption (or ruin) of the world,” clearly referring to the condition in which it is indicated in;
Genesis 1:2 (B) (and 2 Peter 3:5—6 above) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
2 Peter 3:6 “The world that then was by the word of God (Genesis 1:1), perished, and the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word (“were created” (Genesis 2:4), are “kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement”.
2 Peter 3:7 (KJV) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
This shall usher in the new heavens and the new earth http://godsplan.org.uk/messianicage.htm.
John 17:24 (KJV) Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which thou hast given Me: for thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world.
There it is, the evidence is overwhelming and if you do not make sense of it the first time then read it again and again until it dawn’s on you, including the links http://www.godsplan.org.uk/natureanddestiny%20.htm.
