it, in hopes of later preventing Christ's birth in the flesh. That's the reason for this act by the fallen angels, who serve Satan and rebel against God.
     Why are they called
'sons of God'?  (I covered the meaning of 'sons of God' back in my Gen.1:26 Letter. Go back and read it for a better understanding of this phrase.) Let's now turn to the Book of Jude:

If you remember why God destroyed that first earth age as written, then you should realize that Satan and the fallen angels are these 'sons of God' here in Job. These here in Job are not the only ones known by that name though. All those who come to Christ and believe on Him have the name 'sons of God' also (see

John 1:12:But as many received him, to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.’

Romans 8:14;For many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.’

Phill.2:15: ‘That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.’

1 John 3:1-2: ‘Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2:  ‘ Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but ye know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Jude 1:3   Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4    For there are certain men crept in unawares
, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

This Book of Jude was written by "Judas, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James", as stated in Jude 1:1. His message was concerning false teachers who had 'crept' into Christ's Church during his time, as verse 4 above clearly points out. But notice the words 'who were before of old ordained to this condemnation'. What time 'of old'? And how could they be ordained to this condemnation of false teaching? Don't read anything into it, it means just what it says; they were 'destined' for this act of teaching against Christ because they followed Satan in that time 'of old', not God. Let's continue further, because Judas is going to mention others similar to these which were written of in the Old Testament, and what their 'condemnation' was, and this is why we came here to this Book of Jude:

Jude 1:5   I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the LORD, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Jude is comparing the 'crept in unawares' to the Egyptian rebellion against God and His People during the Exodus led by Moses. God destroyed those of Egypt who came after His People, as these false teachers who purposefully misrepresent Christ and The Word will be also. This is why it is very important for each to read God's Word with understanding and guidance from God, not just listening to some man with a bunch of worldly credentials telling you that all you have to do is 'believe'. A true Christian should be able to check their vicar out, and that's what the doctrine guides and hierarchy of Christ's Church are given for in the Books of Timothy, and many other of Paul's Epistles.
