Let's document that this is talking about bloodline lineage purity also in this verse. The word 'GENERATIONS' is 'towledah' in the Hebrew which is the plural of the root 'yalad', which means 'to bear young, causatively, to beget, medically to act as midwife, specifically to show lineage' (Strong's nos. 8435 & 3205). The word 'perfect' is Hebrew 'tamiym', meaning 'without spot or blemish as to pedigree', the same word used when speaking of the purity of a sacrificial lamb for sacrifice.2 Noah was 'perfect in his generations' because his bloodline had not been tainted with the sons of Cain given back in Gen.4, nor with the fallen angels here in Gen.6. This was another purpose for the giving of the GENERATIONS OF ADAM back in the last Chapter of Genesis, which started with 'the particular man Adam' and ended with Noah. So Noah found 'grace' from God not only for his moral purity and that he 'walked with God', but especially for his kept bloodline purity, because this was to be the lineage for Christ's birth remember?
Gen 6:11: The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, "The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Gen 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
Naturally then, since Genesis is the 'Front Cover' of God's Word, Revelation concludes these ideas as the 'Back Cover'. The Whole of the Word is your complete 'Covering'. If you have been studying with me, and understand what I'm talking about, then you are beginning to get that righteous 'Covering' and will not be deceived when Satan comes to earth in our near future proclaiming to be God ('a spurious Messiah'), for he will be an abomination to you, while those without God's 'Covering' will wrongly accept him as the Messiah.
Gen 6:15: And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. (80 feet/26.38 metres) |
