Rom.5: 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous.
John 6:53: Then Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, Except that ye eat the flesh of the son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
This means taking the bread, and sipping the red wine in remembrance of Christ. Gen 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. This is the first mention of building an 'altar unto the LORD'. Question: How did Noah know how to do this? God's Law had not been given yet through Moses. The first description of an animal 'offering' to The LORD was by 'righteous Abel', as written back in Genesis 4:4. This reveals that there was some type of 'oral' traditional Law handed down through the man Adam, and Noah was also aware of it shown by the verse of Gen.8:20. Gen 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, "I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Our Heavenly Father accepted Noah's offering after the flood event, as written here. But it should be remembered that our Father truly wants our love and not the blood of animals.
Isa.1:11: To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Saith the lord; I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
1 Sam.15:22: And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Ps.50: The God of god’s;
Ps 51:16: For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
Micah 6: Witchcraft, soothsayers, idol worship.
Jer.7: More idol worship:
Didn't He even send us His Only Begotten Son as The Sacrifice, to end all sacrifice forever? (Heb.10). doesn’t that show how our Father wants our love in return for His love towards us? You bet it does! |
