24. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a widerness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the prescence of the Lord and by His fierce anger. 27. For thus has the Lord said, “The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
God is saying here that he beheld the earth after He destroyed it when Satan rebelled in the first age and took a third of God’s children. Then He created the earth again (after the fall from grace) for the second time and we were placed by woman to have free will and search again to find our heavenly Father (this is the flesh age we are now in). But as He says here, no one really wants to look for Him so He will bring this age to a close after dealing with satan who has led all astray. The earth was made to be inhabited, so this time we will all be changed from our flesh bodies; to our spiritual ones in the twinkling of an eye, and satan will be taken out of the way for a thousand years. During this time everyone will be instructed in the ways of our Lord whether they like it or not. After which they will have the opportunity to follow God or satan. Then satan will be released again to test all; and those who want to follow satan still, will do; straight into the lake of fire. The rest will live in the new Jerusalem where there will be no more need of Sun, moon, or stars, for God will be our everlasting light. 28. For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.” But only the wicked and the evil will mourn because no place will be found for them in the New Jerusalem, only the lake of fire.
Gen.1:2 using a Strong's Concordance: Satan’s rebellion. Genesis 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. First book. For its relation to the other books of the Pentateuch as well as to the Hebrew Canon of O.T. see App.1. Book. See App.47. Moses. Ascribed to him, Mark 10:2-8, &c; see App 2. Genesis. No part of Hebrew Title, which is simply Berēshīth “in (the) beginning”, because it is the book of all beginnings. Genesis in Greek means generation, creation. For it’s being complimentary to the Appocalypse. See App.3. “The world that then was.” (the one before this one 2 Peter 3:5-6). Creation in eternity past, to which all Fossils and “Remains” belong. Athnach places the emphasis, and gives pause, on “God’’ as being Himself the great worker, separating the Worker from His work. App.5. Perfection Implied.Deut:32:4, 2 Sam 22:31, Job 38:7, Ps 111, 147:35, Prov 3:19, [Even the Greek Cosmos = ornament. Ecc 33:4-6, Isa 49:18, Jer 4:30, Eze 7:20, 1 Peter 3:3.] The heaven and the earth. With Hebrew Particle ‘eth before each, emphasising the Article “the’’ and thus distinguishing both from Genesis 2:1. In the 34 verses of this Introduction, each one of 102 separate acts are emphasised; and the important word “GOD’’ in verse 1 is carried like a lamp through the whole of this introduction.(1:1; 2:3) Genesis 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Without form = waste. Hebrew tohū vā bohū. Paronamasia App 6. Not created tohū (Isa 45:18) but became tohū (Gen 1:2, 2 Peter 3:5-6). “An enemy hath done this’’(Matt 13: 25, 28,30. 1 Cor 14:33) See App 8. Was. This is in italic type, because there is no verb “to be’’ in Hebrew. (see App. 7). In like manner man became a ruin (Gen 3, Ps 14: 1-3, 51:5, 53:1-3, Ecc 7:20, Rom 7:18). “The Heavens And Earth Which Are Now’’ The Spirit of God moved... (see App 9) = The beginning of the” heavens and earth which are now’’( 2 Peter 3:7). It is even so in the New Creation. The Spirit moves ( John 3:3-8, Rom 8:5,9,14. Gal 4:29, 2 Cor 5,17,18).
