Isa 14:12: 'How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13. For thou hast said in thine heart, 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of GOD: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
We know GOD is speaking to 'Lucifer' here and not necessarily about the historical Assyrian of Isaiah's time. The bold; underlined words in verse 13 are from Lucifer's mouth, as GOD is mocking him. This act of defiance by Lucifer against our Father and his Father too, for GOD also created Lucifer, was his whole problem in that time 'of old' when he rebelled, and still is today. That Lucifer is coming as 'a spurious Messiah' to try and act the role of Jesus Christ means he still believes he can pull off this deception. He will with many in the world. Since many haven't taken the time out of their 'busy' lives to study our Father's Word, they're primed and ready to go with the false messiah, i.e. Lucifer.
Someone said to me just the other day, "Well I just don't have time to study The Bible." Fine, God doesn't have time for that person either then. And I'm saying this to those who can make the time and have the ability to get down to it. Some people in the world are handicapped or are terribly persecuted for their belief in God and Christ, and probably would study more if they could. So what's our excuse, those of us who have no hindrances or handicaps? God blessed the Western Christian Nations so we could 'find the time' to search for Him! How do we do that? By studying His Word. Do you think those who "don't have time" are getting ready for this false Messiah?
Where else in God's Word does Lucifer make this claim of exalting his 'throne above the stars of God'? Let's go back to The Book of Ezekiel:
Ezek 28:2 "Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, 'Thus saith the LORD GOD; 'Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, 'I am a GOD, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas;' yet thou art a man, and not GOD, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Isa.14: 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of GOD: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Make a comparison of this verse of Ezek 28:2
and the last one we just covered in Isaiah 14:13. Sounds pretty much the same doesn't it? Same claim to fame; one might say.
This phrase 'I am a God' is 'aniy ‘El’ in the Hebrew, and translates directly 'I am El' (Strong's nos.589;410). The word 'El' means 'The Almighty' (Strong's no.410). So Lucifer is not just calling himself a god in the sense of the many false pagan gods, but he's claiming to be Yehaveh Himself. "Well how does Lucifer as a false messiah tie to GOD or the word 'El' in this verse," we might ask? In...
John 14:9 Jesus says, "...he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father....”
Also in John 10:20 Christ would be more direct with, "I and My Father are one." When you say Jesus Christ, which the word Jesus is 'Iesous' in the Greek, you're saying 'Yehovah is Salvation'! (See also
