What about Easter, which is not Biblical? The word in the original manuscripts is ‘pascha’, meaning Passover, so it was added by the King James translators, probably a Kenite in the midst. Ever wondered where Easter eggs fit into God’s Word? Isa 2:7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots: This applies to wealth. We could say that ‘chariots’ refer to automobiles today, for a chariot is something one rides in. God is saying that since they have all these treasures and wealth, they think they really don’t need Him. They have forgotten Him, and each worships their own works. "Well, I made this and I made that, aren't I great?" "I did, I do, I am." Careful of too many "I"s in your speech, for the sacred name is 'The I Am That I Am', and God is the only rightful owner of that Title. Isa 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: The word ‘idols’ as used in this verse means ‘nothings, vanity' (Strong's no.457). The point God is making with these two verses should be clear now. What better way to deceive God’s people than to teach that all they have to do to be saved is to come every Sunday to Church for a couple of hours, and the rest of the week, they're free to tend to their ‘silver’ and ‘gold’, and things made with man’s hands. They have gone the way of mammon. The world teaches everyone the benefit of being financially independent, but they don’t teach you that if you do it God’s Way, He will take care of you. He knows what we need. Some need more than others. It’s according to what your service to the Father is. Isa 2:9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. The ‘mean man’ translates to hypocrite from the Hebrew. The hypocrite stoops to low designs or works, and the ‘great man’ sets himself up in baseness, or chooses wealth as the greatest aim, instead of his own salvation through Jesus Christ. Sounds like the world today doesn’t it? There’s nothing wrong with wealth, if it is from God’s blessings. Isa 2:10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty. This ‘rock’ is lower case. The serpent was doomed to the dust. This rock is Satan, the false rock. (For the deeper student: Yep, Satan wants to play the part of the ‘rock’ too, just like he is known as Lucifer, the ‘morning star’, while Jesus is The True Morning Star .
