1 Thess.5:1-5. Read All.

Isa 22:4   Therefore said I, "Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my People."
5    For
it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.

Again, this event Isaiah is being given by God to Jerusalem truly was history. But don't fail to see it as a type for our days right now in our times. This "weep bitterly" and "crying to the mountains" will be the sad state of many in the future when our True Lord Christ does return. Even those of Rev.6:16 will say for the mountains to "...'Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb." Why would many do that when our Saviour returns? Because they believed on their false leaders who led them to worship 'spurious messiah', instead of waiting for our True Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, So what group specifically is that then? Notice Isaiah 22:4 says "the daughter of my People"? Is that only deceived Jews? No. This prophecy is to both houses of Israel, and to the nations of the world, as we just covered seven past 'burdens' upon the peoples. And if you're not aware that the tribes Judah, Benjamin, and Levite only make up one part of Israel today (i.e. 'house of Judah'), with the remainder of the twelve tribes still scattered today (i.e. 'house of Israel'), then it's time to get down to a bit of study in God's Word (see 1 Kings 11 through 2 Kings 18, and the Lost Tribes studies.) Once you've done that, then go check out,

As it is a Message from our Father given to the 'house of Israel', as Ephraim and Samaria are mentioned there. Ephraim became the lead ruling tribe over the ten tribes of the 'house of Israel', which later would migrate to Europe and form the Western Christian Nations of today.)
This "day of trouble" is 'Jacob's trouble' of...

 The verse of...

Jer.30:9. But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, who I will rasise up unto them,

... Is yet future to us, as many later verses in that Chapter are also. So God's Word here in Isaiah 22 is really overlapping and weaving these historical events with our times for our times today. The parallel for us is the coming 'abomination of desolation' with a spurious messiah, and then the battle of Armageddon on the "day of the LORD."

Jer.46:10: For this is the day of the lord God of hosts, a day of vengeance, that He may avenge Him of His adversaries; and the sword shall devour, and it shall be made satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord God of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.
