1 Thess.5:2: For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Isa 22:6   And Elam bare the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.
7    And it shall come to pass, that
thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.

This Elam ('eternity') and also Kir ('wall, fortress'), were peoples under the control of Assyria at that time. So instead of God's People partying it up, and trusting on man's alliances with other nations, they should have been preparing for battle against this powerful army of the Assyrian by asking God's help. And don't forget, GOD is The One Who is bringing this Assyrian upon them (Isa.22:5; Isa.10:5). In 2 Thessalonians 2, you'll discover that GOD is also bringing the false messiah (son of perdition, i.e. antichrist, Satan) upon us in our future. And all is being done for today, just like it was here in Isaiah as the type. A good question here for some would be, did God take any of His People out of that historical tribulation by the Assyrian and the 'king of Babylon'? All of God's People went through the captivities of both the Assyrian, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon (see 2 Kings). Even God's prophet Isaiah was subject to these events.

 2 Kings 19:2-20: Read All.

If you've not followed this Isaiah study from the start, then go back, especially covering Isaiah 14 to get up to date here. God linked Lucifer to this 'Assyrian' and to 'the king of Babylon' in Isaiah 14 (note Isa.14:4; 14:25; 14:12). So the Assyrian came through the house of Israel's capital city Samaria where the ten tribes lived in northern Israel first taking them captive, and then finally made it down to Jerusalem in the south of Israel. This Chapter is a prelude to the Assyria putting siege to Jerusalem. But the historical 'king of Babylon' (Nebuchadnezzar) actually took Jerusalem into captivity.
What does this mean for us in the Western Christian Nations today then? This Chapter of Isaiah 22 as the future type of prophecy, in my 'opinion', is somewhat close to happening today in Jerusalem. The 'house of Israel' (Christian Nations) can already be compared with the mixing of many peoples of foreign nations, much as the historical Assyrian did, moving peoples in and out of their conquered lands to new areas. The historical Assyrian took the ten tribes of Israel captive to Assyria, and joined them with other captive nations.

 2 Kings: Read All.

Ezekiel 6: Read All.

The erosion of national sovereignty by joining the global money markets is pulling down national borders today, creating a joining of nations among the 'house of Israel'. (Can you say European Union?). Never forget that a global one-world government to include 'all' nations together, is Lucifer's main political-economic goal, which will be the future symbolic resurrected Babylon world empire.

Rev.13-19:

                          Read All.

Daniel 7-12:

The historical type was ancient Assyria, and then Babylon of Daniel the prophet's time, then the Medo-Persia empire, the Greek empire under Alexander, and the Roman empire under the Caesars, but...all rolled into one this time; a "diverse" 'beast' from all those before it.
