1 Corinthians 15:52. In a moment, In the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Romans 8:7-8: Read All.
Our flesh can even cause us to think that we please God by doing something we think... He will approve of, when often we truly haven't looked for proper counsel in His Word in 'testing the fruit', to discover if it would be according to His Will. That's how many traditions get started within the Church. And that's also how some others think the bringing back of the Levitical priesthood animal sacrifices will please God, when He has declared that He doesn't want it, won't accept it, but instead desires our love for Him, and to care and have love for each other.
Isaiah 1:11-20: Read All.
Isa 29:20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off: This "terrible one" refers to Satan and his servants who watch at every chance to do wickedness. Their working is to silence God's rebuke of their abominations and wicked ways. They think they are above all reproach, and will commit evil upon the just for nothing, looking for the opportunity to do so. To do right is not in them, as they are "spots in your feasts of charity"
Jude 1: Read All.
Is it any wonder that the world hates anyone who makes a 'stand' for The LORD, seeking to do what is right, and rebuking those who willingly lead the poor and weak to sin? This world was given for Satan to rule over, until our Lord Jesus returns (Luke 4 with Satan's tempting of our Lord). Yet many believers today have bought into the forms of 'humanist' thought that declares we can make this world a better place, and have world peace, if we try hard enough. That false idea is part of the deceptive dream just covered back at verses 7 and 8. True peace can only happen with our Lord Jesus Christ in reign upon this earth (Isa.9). And that will not occur until this "terrible one" and his servants are "cut off". Therefore, these verses are definitely of the time after our Lord Jesus has returned. Isa 29:22 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, "Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale. The "house of Jacob" here is put for all twelve tribes of Israel with Gentile believers who stay on Christ Jesus. |
