Key Verses to God’s Word (part 1)

Understanding the Companion KJV Bible

John Bradburn

goldenkey2 This key verse opens up the whole understanding of God’s Word and begins in the New Testament with,

2Peter 3:5-6

5.For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water.

6.Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water perished.

These two verses convey; quite categorically, that there was an earth before this one, and the earth stood in and out of the water.

The earth that then was, which was flooded with water, perished.

Satan who rebelled against God caused it all, and a third of God’s children supported Satan. It would have been quite easy for God to destroy Satan and his rebels, but it must be understood that if He did, there would have been a seed of doubt planted into the mind of the other two thirds of God’s children, and the rebellion may have recurred if left to fester. God will not tolerate anything that is not in harmony with the universe, so He had no other choice but to compile a plan of restitution; and execute that plan which would give everyone the opportunity, if they so wish, to find their way back to Him. (More on this later) This would of course explain fossils unearthed today, (v5) above.

goldenkey2This next key explains that Genesis did not happen per chance but was planned, and orchestrated by God Himself.

After destroying the last earth His Plan was to rebuild His creation and start again with a difference. First we must all understand fully that the souls of all God’s creatures return to the Creator who created them, this fact is very important in understanding God’s plan.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

goldenkey2The next key is Genesis in the Old Testament, and can now be broken down from Genesis1 to maintain continuity now that we know there was another earth before this one.

(A1 A) Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

In the very beginning God created the Heaven and the earth, which scientists fall over themselves to explain as “The Big Bang, and it is only a theory” but this is not so.

The world that then was is creation in eternity passed, to which all “fossils” and “Remains” belong. God Hebrew, Elohim, plural. Whose first occurrence connects it with creation, and denotes, by usage, the creature in relation to His creatures. The Hebrew Accent Athnach places the emphasis, and gives pause on “God” as being Himself the great worker, separating the worker from His work.

The heaven and the earth, with Hebrew particle `eth before each, emphasising the article “the”, thus distinguishing both from 2:1 “Heavens” in Hebrew.

Genesis is no part of Hebrew Title, which is simply B ۚ rēshīth, and means “In [the] beginning”, because it is the book of all beginnings. Genesis is Greek, which means generation, creation. For its being complimentary to the Apocalypse.

(B) Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.

Without form: means waste. Hebrew tohū bohū. The earth was not created tohū (Isa 45:18) but became tohū (Gen 1:2. 2 Peter. 3:5-6) “An enemy hath done this” (Matt 13: 25, 28, 39,) 1 Corinthians 14:33) In like manner man (we) became a ruin. (Gen 3, Ps 14:1-3; 51:5; 53:1-3; Ecc 7:20, Rom 7{18.

A a  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

goldenkey2God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: Which is the Sabbath  (Our Saturday), Which the Romans changed to Sunday.

goldenkey2The next key is the creation of man: first in Gen 1:27

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

goldenkey2Then in Genesis 2:7 the Lord God formed man, WHY.

Genesis 2:7-8

7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.

This man was formed by God for a very special, and important purpose. From this man Adam, Heb eth ha adham’ lineage was to come our Saviour Jesus Christ, who would shew us the way back to God Our Father.

goldenkey2The trees in the garden represent the Elohim of which Satan was one and was named Lucifer, son of the morning star. (They were not fruit trees) Lucifer was very close to God when he was created but became evil due to his evil thoughts, and God renamed him Satan

Gen 2:16-17

16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

During this time when Adam was created we were in our spiritual bodies, which meant no illness, aging, or death. We would have been immortal and ready to inherit the earth. Satan of course who was prince of the earth had other ideas and did not want this to happen at all; he wanted to have dominion over the earth. So began the efforts of Satan to intensify his opposition to “Godsplan” which would begin with the attempted sabotage of the “Royal Bloodline” then throughout the whole book of Gods Word with different methods.

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent (Lucifer) was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree (Lucifer) was good for food (procreation) and that it was pleasant to the eyes, (Lust of the eyes) and a tree to be desired to make one wise, (Boastful of life Matt 4:8) she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,

No mention of any apple here, in fact it would be hard to believe the Bible if a talking apple, pear, or plum etc caused all our problems. It was pure sex through “the lust of the eyes” which made Eve desire Lucifer “Boastful of life” she took Lucifer’s seed against all God’s advice.

And gave unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Only a handful of cases - of what doctors call heteropaternal superfecundation - are documented in the world. Superfecundation is the fertilization of two or more ova from the same cycle by sperm from separate acts of sexual intercourse. The term superfecundation is derived from fecund, meaning the ability to produce offspring.

So we now know it is possible, and for those people who have not been able to make sense of God’s Word until now have more soulsearching, and study to do.

When God was aware of what Satan had done He defined the two seeds (ova) by putting enmity  between Adam and Eve’s seed (ova) and Satan’s seed (ova) thus enabling identification through the 6000 years to follow before Revelation, and giving everyone the opportunity to choose who they will follow.

This is an absolute masterstroke, and ingenious way of overcoming the seed of doubt sown by Satan.

Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow shalt though bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”

Genesis 3:24 So He drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

In the first mention of the heavenly bodies, the purpose of the Creator is clearly stated. Genesis 1:14 -19 reveals the fact that they were created, not only “to divide the day from the night, and to give light upon the earth”; but, they were set “for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years”. These names and the twelve “signs” go back to the foundation of the world. (Flesh age). Jewish tradition preserved by Josephus assures us that this Bible astronomy was invented

by Adam, (Father) Seth, (Son) and Enoch (Grandson) the “Sphinx” was invented as a memorial. It had the head of a woman and the body and tail of a lion, to tell us this book, written in the Heavens, began with the sign “Virgo” (Virgin), and will end with the sign “Leo” (Lion). The word“Sphinx” is from the Greek Sphingo, to join; because it binds together the two ends of this circle of the heavens.

The Cherubim is a type of spiritual being mentioned in the Bible, usually associated with the presence of God, and the flaming sword which turned everyway, to keep the way of the tree of life is a heavenly clock which is set in the circle of the constellations. Through the precession of the equinoxes the sun rises in the east, and setting in the west, rising each time but moving one arc point from the previous day through the twelve constellations. Each transition through a constellation takes about 2000 years. We are now today approaching the end when all should have made their choice, but unfortunately that is not the case. More >>

When God made Adam and Eve they were perfect for dominion over the earth until Satan’s intervention, now God had to replace Adam with another perfect man who was Our Lord Jesus Christ The sacrificial Lamb.

The title Lamb of God (in Latin Agnus Dei) appears in the Gospel of John, with the exclamation of John the Baptist: in John 1:29 when he sees Jesus. Although in Christian teachings, Lamb of God refers to Jesus Christ in his role of the perfect sacrificial offering,

goldenkey2 Satan was well aware of the substitution and tried many, many times to sabotage the lineage.

Genesis 4:1-2

1. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, “I have gotten a man from the LORD.”

2. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Satan used his son Cain to murder his brother Abel in an attempt to thwart the Royal Lineage, and this became the first violent murder of the fallen earth.

Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Religeon” is, and  and ever has been the greatest cause of blood-shedding.

1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore (why) slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brothers righteous.

goldenkey2Here God re-establishes the lineage through Seth, and his son Enos.

Genesis 4:26 And to Seth, to him also was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

Genesis 5:1 This is THE BOOK OF THE GENERATIONS OF ADAM. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him.

Giants were; the Hebrew = Nephīlīm in the days of Noah, and also after their destruction by the flood as well as before it, which God brought upon them. There was another irruption, the result being like those “of old”. Renown is also Hebrew and means the men of name, who became the “heroes” of Greek mythology, which in turn became the remains of primitive truth, which was corrupted in transmission.

This was another attempt by Satan to destroy the Royal lineage.

Genesis 6: 4 There was giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Genesis 6:8 But Noah found Grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Genesis 10:1 Now these are THE GENERATIONS OF THE SONS OF NOAH. Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

Genesis 11: 8-9

8. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left of to build the city.

9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Satan used Nimrod to bring together the then population of the earth to build a tower to the heavens, in an attempt to overcome the twirling sword and Cherubim. But God scattered them upon the face of the earth in order to preserve the revelation contained in the Zodiac and the constellations.

The Stars Also.

Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee.”

Sichem was the place of Abram’s first altar and Christ’s first mission (John 4) and was also of Jacob’s altar. The Canaanite was already in the land, which God was going to shew Abraham. It is evident that from Terah’s and Abraham’s call, Satan knew the line by which “the seed of the woman  (Gen 3:15) was coming into the world. In Gen 6 Satan aimed at the whole of the human race. Now he aims at Abraham and his land. Here is the second explanation of the words “after that” in (Gen 6:4)

He pre-occupies the territory ready to dispute the advance. The Canaanite “was then” - “being already” there. (Gen13: 7) The progeny of the later attempt to corrupt the race had to be destroyed by the sword of Israel, as those “in the days of Noah” had been by the flood.

Genesis 16: 3-4

3 And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

4. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

Genesis 17: 1-2

1. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, “I am the Almighty GOD; walk before Me, and be thou perfect.

2. And I will make My covenant between Me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.”

Here the covenant is made between Almighty God, Hebrew El Shađđai and Abram; (later to be named Abraham) This title assures Abram that He Who had called him was almighty to supply all his need. (2 Cor. 6:18), which assures us of the same supply.

This is a very important key verse in God’s Word because it reveals to us Jehovah’s intentions to those who walk in His ways, and be perfect. It is from here that the strife on this fallen earth becomes tougher as we near the end.

Genesis 17:19-20

19. And God said,” Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

20. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21.But My covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

God made His covenant with Isaac to continue the lineage, not once but twice, and makes doubly sure we are aware of it. This is the line of our fathers, which continues through from Abraham-Isaac-Jacob.

Genesis 28: 14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Bilbah bared Jacob a son and called him Dan, Bilbah gave Jacob a second son and named him Naphtali, from Zilpah a son called Gad, and a second son called Asher, from Leah Issachar, and second son Zebulun, And Rachel bare a son to Jacob and him Joseph

Genesis 32:28 And he said, “Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Israel means “God commands, orders, or rules”. Man attempts it but always, in the end, fails. Jacob had contended for the birthright and succeeded (Gen 25: 29-34) He had contended for the blessing and succeeded (Gen 32 27) He had contended with Laban and succeeded. (Gen 32:31) He had contended with “men” and succeeded. Now he contends with God – and fails. Hence his name was changed to Isra-el, God commands, to teach him the greatly needed lesson of dependence on God.

goldenkey2 The birthright goes to Ephraim.

Gen 48:18-20

18. And Joseph said unto his father, “Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.”

19. And his father refused, and said, “I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.”

20. And he blessed them that day, saying, “In thee shall Israel bless, saying `God make thee as Ephraim and Manasseh:’” and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

It is remarkable how these key chapters from long ago point to the nations of today. Ephraim = Great Britain, Manasseh = USA which have  enjoyed the blessings that God has bestowed on both, of that no one can deny.

Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh (Christ) come; and unto Him shall the gathering be.

goldenkey2This gathering is the coming together of all twelve tribes of Israel after being scattered By God all over the world. But first to the land of milk and honey.

Genesis 50:23 –24

23. And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph’s knees.

24. And Joseph said unto his brethren, “I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land He sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

goldenkey2We now begin again with Exodus 34:10. Covenant of marvels, finds its complete fulfilment in the Apocalypse.  The Ten Commandments were given by God to Moses to instruct  the people in the ways of the LORD, and also to enable those who love God to have a blessed and prosperous life. But as we find in this day and age the Ten Commandments are not adhered to by many.

Exodus 34: 10 And He said, “Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy People I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the People among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

This covenant is for future generations of the People mentioned here, because without spiritual leadership and discipline, not all people look to God; and most turn their backs to Him and follow the way of the heathen.

Exodus 34:11 Observe thou that which I command thee this day:  behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite

Exodus 34:12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee.

The Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite are all Satan’s clan, (Kenites) and God drives them out of the land, effectively cleansing it before giving it to His People, and then gives us all a warning in (Ex 34:12) not to mix with the inhabitants of the land where we go, lest we adopt their ungodly habits and practice them.

Always rendered “groves”, which means `āshērāh in Hebrew, but denotes a phallic image, worshipped by libidinous rites (Having or exhibiting lustful desires; lascivious) and lascivious practices.

Sex between husband and wife is to father children, and raise a family in God’s ways. Not something to be worshipped, idolised, or obsessed with. This is Satan’s way and has become a snare in today’s society for many, many people.

Leviticus 25: 26 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

goldenkey2Secret: The italics in the A.V. (put in roman type in R.V.) show that the Hebrew was not clear to the translators. They make good sense in English, but this is not the sense of the Hebrew text. The words rendered “unto the LORD our God” have the extraordinary points to show that they form no part of the text, and should be removed. The meaning then, is:

“The secret things, even the revealed things, (belong) to us and our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law”; i.e. the revealed things, and the secret things which have not been, but will yet be revealed. “The secret things will yet be revealed”, later in these pages

Deuteronomy 29:1-2

1. And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee.

2. And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

goldenkey2These verses in Deuteronomy are yet future and verse 30:5 confirms this because up until now we have not entered Israel the land of milk and honey yet.

Deuteronomy 30:5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and He will do thee good, and multiply thee above the fathers.

Deuteronomy 34:4 And the LORD said unto him, (Moses) “This is the land I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

goldenkey2 Now can Deuteronomy 29:12 kick in because Moses is dead, and Joshua takes over leadership into Israel, as are forefathers cross over the Jordan to the promised land of milk and honey. (See Joshua 23:24 for a rundown from Abraham)

Joshua 1:10-11

10. Then Joshua commanded the officers of the People saying,

11. “Pass through the host, and command the People, saying, `Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it’”

1 Kings 11:43 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

Israel split from Judah and became the northern kingdom, and Judea remained the southern kingdom

It was Rehoboam who was to cause the captivity and dispersion of Northern Israel by the Assyrians for causing his people to worship two golden calves, therefore breaking the covenant with God. His reasoning behind it was to prevent the people going south to Judah to celebrate God’s Holy Days, so he took counsel; “but not of Jehovah” (Isa 30:1).

1 Kings 12:26-28

26. And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David:

27. If this People go up to sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this People turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.

28. Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them,

“It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy Gods, O Israel. Which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.”

In 722 BC, nearly twenty years after the initial deportations, the ruling city of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Samaria, was finally taken by Sargon II after a three year siege started by Shalmaneser V.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents. And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison. Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years. In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

II Kings 17:3-6

3. Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria: and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.

4. And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

5. Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.

6. In the sixth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

7.For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, Which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharoah  king of Egypt, and had feared (reverenced)  other gods.

Israel were taken into captivity for transgressions against the LORD their God and sent the Ayysiran to punish them for all. their mis-deeds.

II Kings 18:11-12

11. And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

12. Because they obeyed not the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded and would not hear them, nor do them.

goldenkey2The Northern Kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Neo-Assyrian monarchs, Tiglath-Pileser III (Pul) and Shalmaneser V. The later Assyrian rulers Sargon II and his son and successor, Sennacherib, were responsible for finishing the twenty-year demise of Israel's northern ten-tribe kingdom. Sennacherib also invaded some parts of the Southern Kingdom of Judah. He records forty-six fortified towns captured from Judah, and presumably carried away into Assyria. Jerusalem was besieged, but not taken. The tribes exiled by Assyria later became known as the Ten Lost Tribes.

Esarhaddon (680-669 BC) expanded Assyria still further, campaigning deep into the Caucasus Mountains in the north, breaking Urartu completely in the process. Tiring of Egyptian interference in the Assyrian Empire, Esarhaddon crossed the Sinai Desert, and invaded and conquered Egypt, driving its foreign Nubian/Kushite and Ethiopian rulers out in the process. He expanded the empire as far south as Arabia and Dilmun (modern Bahrain or Qatar). Esarhaddon also completely rebuilt Babylon during his reign, bringing peace to Mesopotamia as a whole. The Babylonians, Egyptians, Elamites, Cimmerians, Scythians, Persians, Medes, Manneans, Arameans, Chaldeans, Israelites, Phonecians and Urartu were vanquished and regarded as vassals and Assyria's empire was kept secure.

Israel was taken into captivity by Assyria.

goldenkey2Cyrus the Great figures in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament KJV) as the patron and deliverer of the Israelies. He is mentioned twenty-three times by name and alluded to several times more. From these statements it appears that Cyrus the Great, king of Persia, was the monarch under whom the captivity of  the northern kingdom of Israel ended, for in the first year of his reign he was prompted by God to make a decree that the temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt and that such Israelies who cared to; might return to their land for this purpose. Moreover, he showed his interest in the project by sending back with them the sacred vessels which had been taken from the temple and a considerable sum of money with which to buy building materials.

Most of Israel did not return, instead they took the route to Europe and beyond via the Black Sea, and the Caucasus mountains, populating areas as they went and even as far West as the UK today. (Ephraim) and emigrated Northwest to the Americas (Manasseh)

Although they were called the Lost Ten Tribes, God knew all along where we were.

There is much discussion over the “Lost Ten Tribes” but this route seems to be the most favourable.

2 Kings18:13 Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennercherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.

This was the first invasion of Judah, which Sennercherib’s inscription enlarges upon, but is only mentioned here. (2 kings18: 13) Forty-six cities are mentioned in the inscriptions. Sennercherib had not approached Jerusalem yet.

Part 2
