The Spiritual

Significance of Numbers.

Numbers are used in Scripture, not merely as in Nature with supernatural design, but with spiritual significance, which may be summarised as follows:-

One (1) Denotes unity: and commencement. The first occurrences of words or utterances denote their essential significance, in interpretation. Words that occur only once, in the originals, are emphatic and important. First day, Light.

Two (2) Denotes difference: If two different persons agree in testimony, it is conclusive. Otherwise two implies opposition, enmity, and division, as was the work of the Second day. Compare the use of the word “double’’ applied to “heart’’, ”tongue’, ’”mind’’, etc..

Three (3) Denotes completeness:, as three lines complete a plane figure. Hence, three is significant of Divine perfection and completeness. The third day completes the fundamentals of creation-work. The 4th, 5th, and 6th days are the counterpart and repetition of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and correspond respectively. (See the structure of Gen 1 : 3) The number, three, includes resurrection also; for on the third day the earth rose up out of the deep, and fruit rose up out of the earth.

Four (4) Denotes creative works: (3+1): and always has reference to the material creation, as pertaining to the earth, and things “under the sun’’, and things terrestrial.

Five (5) Denotes Divine Grace: It is 4+1. It is God adding His gifts and blessing to the works of His hands. The Heb Ha’aretz (8) (the earth), by “Gematria’’ (i.e. the addition of the numerical value of the letters together). Is a multiple of four, while hashamayim (10) (the heavens) is a multiple of five. The Gematria of xápis (charis), the Greek for Grace, is also a multiple of five. It is the leading factor in the tabernacle measurements.

Six (6) Denotes the human number: Man was created on the sixth day; and this first occurrence of the number makes it (and all multiples of it) the hallmark of all connected with man. He works six days. The hours of his day are a multiple of six. Athaliah usurped the throne of Judah for six years. The great men who have stood out in defiance of God; (Goliath, Nebuchadnezzar, and Antichrist), are all emphatically marked by this number.

Seven (7) Denotes spiritual perfection: It is the number or hallmark of the Holy Spirits work. He is the Author of God’s Word, and seven is stamped on it as the watermark as seen in the manufacture of paper. He is the Author and giver of life; and seven is the number, which regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation, in insects, birds, animals, and man.

Eight (8) Denotes resurrection, regeneration; a new beginning or commencement. The eight is a new first, hence the octave in music, colour, days of the week etc. It is the number, which has to do with the Lord, who rose on the “eighth’’ or new “first-day’’. This is, therefore, the Dominical number.(belonging to the Lord, as the Lord’s prayer, The Lord’s Day) By Gematria ‘Iησоûѕ (Jesus) makes the number 888. It, or its multiple is impressed on all that has to do with the Lord’s Names, the lord’s People, the Lord’s works.

Nine (9) Denotes finality of judgement: It is 3x3, the product of Divine completeness. The number nine, or its factors or multiples, is seen in all cases when judgement is the subject.

Ten (10) Denotes ordinal perfection: Another new first, after the ninth digit when numeration commences anew.

Eleven (11) Denotes, disorder, and disorganisation: Because it is one, short of the number twelve.

Twelve (12) Denotes Government perfection: It is the number or factor of all numbers connected with government: Whether by Tribes, or Apostles, or in measurements of time, or in things, which have to do with government in the heavens and the earth.

Thirteen (13) Denotes rebellion, apostasy, defection, disintegration, revolution, etc: The first occurrence fixes this Gen14: 4. Twelve years they served Chedorlaomar (12) and in the thirteenth year, they rebelled. In addition, the second confirms it in Gen 17:25. In addition, Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. It, and its multiples, is seen in all numbers, and in the Gematria of all names and passages that are associated with rebellion, etc.

Seventeen (17) Denotes a combination of spirit and order (10+7): It is the seventh prime number (as thirteen is the sixth prime number). Other numbers follow the laws, which govern the smaller numbers, as being their factors, sums, products, or multiples: e.g. 24 = 12 x 2, a higher form of 12.

25 = 5² Grace intensified.

27 = 3³ Divinity intensified.

28 = 7 x 4. Spiritual perfection in connection with the earth.

29 = 3³. Intensifying of Divine judgement.

30 = 3 x 10. Divine perfection applied to order.

40 = 10 x 4. Divine order applied to earthly things, Hence the number of probation.

The four perfect numbers, 3,7,10, and 12, have for their product the remarkable number 2,520. It is the least Common Multiple of the ten digits governing all numeration; and can, therefore, be divided by each of the nine digits, without a remainder. It is the number of chronological perfection (7 x 360)

There are (30) lunar days in each Hebrew month.  12 X 30 (months) = 360 days.12 Government perfection 30 Divine perfection applied to order.

God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th, 7 x 360 = 2,520. 7 = spiritual perfection,

There are 12 (government perfection) constellations in the Zodiac and it takes over 2000 days for the precessional cycle of the sun to pass through each constellation. This is called The Precession Of The Equinoxes. A slow westward shift of the equinoxes along the plane of the ecliptic, resulting from precession of the earth's axis of rotation, and causing the equinoxes to occur earlier each sidereal year. The precession of the equinoxes occurs at a rate of 50.27 seconds of arc a year; a complete precession requires 25,800 years; divided by 12 (constellations). = 2150 years for the sun to pass through one constellation. Starting with Virgo; and ending with Leo, we are now very near to the end of the cycle and therefore in what is termed the, “end days’’. (See The Stars also)

Rev 13: (Denotes rebellion, apostasy, defection, disintegration, and revolution,) verse 18. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

It is very important to know and understand that the AntiChrist 666 will arrive on earth prior to Christ our Lord.

·         Revelation 6:12:   -   Sixth Seal. 6 (Denotes the human number) 12 Denotes Government perfection, which have to do with government in the heavens and the earth.

·         Revelation 9:13   -   Sixth Trumpet. 6    9 - (Denotes Finality of Judgment). 13 Denotes rebellion, apostasy, defection, disintegration, revolution.

·         Revelation 16:12   -   Sixth Vial. 6 (10+ 6 = 16)  (10 Denotes ordinal perfection. 6. Denotes the human number).  12. Denotes Government perfection, which has to do with government in the heavens and the earth. (Goliath, Nebuchadnezzar, and Antichrist) are all emphatically marked by this number. Old Testament events serving as "ensamples" for the latter day events, how does this historical blueprint fit for our future? Instead of flesh pagan kings coming upon Jerusalem to siege and physically destroy, the latter day king of Babylon will be Satan and his angels as thorns and briers treading upon Jerusalem to do a spiritual destruction. According to Revelation 12:6 (note the numbers) forward, Satan and his angels will be booted out of Heaven down to this earth for the future tribulation; and that latter day working by the king of Babylon will be one of great deception. That is the type of devastation upon Jerusalem for the latter days.

Isa 14:1   For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

'Jacob' in this verse means all twelve tribes of Israel, which does not apply only to Jews. The Jewish people make up only one tribe, i.e. Judah, from all twelve. The 'house of Judah' now resides in the middle-east state called Israel, along with Benjamin and Levi joined with them. The other Ten Tribes were scattered abroad along with other Jews, and most of Judah knows this.
     The phrase 'and will yet choose Israel' refers to the putting back together of the scattered ten tribes called the 'house of Israel' in God's Word, and the 'house of Judah', into one Israel again, as it was before the split recorded in…

 I & II Kings (also see Ezek.37). The two sticks.

That joining has not happened yet today, as today's nation state of Israel has no 'king' over them (see the Lost Tribes study). The lost tribes, which are not lost to our Father, will be joined back to their 'own land' in IsraelThese 'strangers' are the Gentiles who accept Christ as God's Saviour also. This is truly what the 'gathering' by Christ at His Second Advent means.

Some have tried to teach that The Book of Revelation was not really penned by John the Apostle, but by some other John who lived centuries later. Others have even tried to say that Revelation doesn't belong with our Holy Bible, mainly because of all the different symbology in contrast to the rest of The New Testament. And still others would even say that Revelation was written by a pagan because of all the symbols!  But those of you who have been studying with me here in Isaiah, you know those remarks to be all lies!  Even more, those who have taken the time to verify what little documentation I've given from Revelation in the Study of Isaiah, you now could just about teach half The Book of Revelation to others. Add just the first six Chapters of Genesis to it, and you could teach another big part of Revelation. How terrifically silly those previous false statements about Revelation not being given by Jesus Christ through His Apostle John, now sounds.
