Take note of the three trees: “Knowledge” mans ruin; “ the Cross” mans redemption; “the Tree of Life mans Regeneration. Good and evil; Knowledge sense or perception, Obedience proving what was good, disobedience; revealing what was evil.

2:18 And the LORD God said,” It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.’’

God makes woman as a counterpart of Adam

2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

God formed every beast of the field , and every fowl of the air out of the ground  and brought them unto Adam to name them. Each living creature (soul) became flesh, and Adam  representing man was dominant  over all.

2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam,and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

The word rib is translated tsal’hâ, tsal-aw’; a rib (as curved} lit (of the body)

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a nucleic acid that contains the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms. It is quite likely that in translating curve as rib, the K.J.V. translators were not aware of D.N.A. hence they related rib to the nearest known bodily curve at that time; even if God took the rib from Adam to extract the D.N.A.

2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.

2:23 And Adam said,” This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’’

2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Unfortunately these days  many people do not get married, preferring instead to live together as partners. So the question must be asked, are they really one flesh?

2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

It was natural for them both to be naked  therefore there was no reason to be ashamed, or self conscious.

See.  The Serpent of Genesis for an in depth study.

3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, “Yea, hath God said , `Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden’ ?’’

Opposition to God’s Word is satan’s sphere of activity. This is Satan’s first utterance in scripture.

3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Eve misquotes God by omitting  “freely’’

3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, `Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die’ ‘’

Eve adds the sentence;  “neither shall ye touch it,’and “lest ye die.’’ Is also misquoted; by not repeating the emphatic figure, and thus omitting “surely’’

3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, “ye shall not surely die:

Ye shall not surely die = Satan’s second utterance, and contradiction of God’s word. This has become  the foundation of Spiritism and traditional belief as to death.

3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.’’

Ye shall be as gods = be as god, Heb Elohim. This is the foundation of Satan’s second lie; “The immanence  of God in man.’’
